MESS Studios now has the ability to provide high quality photos and Headshots to image-savvy newcomers in the fields of modeling, acting and entertainment thanks to its newly appointed creative director, photographer Brad Starks.

“As anyone with any experience in this industry will tell you, successful promotional photos must be of exceptional quality, show variety, and be relevant to the model’s look,” says Roxanne Rizzo, head makeup artist at MESS Studios. “A portfolio filled with ‘test for print’ snapshots, outdated photos, or poorly lit Headshots will make anyone look like less than an amateur. Without the right photos, clients, modeling agents and casting directors won’t take you seriously. The simple solution to this problem is to find a top professional willing to sit down with you one-on-one to organize and execute a photo shoot customized to your personal needs and strengths.”

Brad Starks’ experience in fashion and advertising has made him well versed in the model selection and casting process.  Knowing what sorts of photos can make or break a booking has given him a keen perspective in the areas of portfolio and talent development. (Hint: It’s never just about replicating the “hot” shots you saw in the latest magazine.) He has a knack for connecting with his subjects, and helps them understand how crucial it is to broaden their approach to this ever-changing industry by marketing themselves as multifaceted mini-brands. Starks guides portfolios toward a “total look,” which results in more model bookings or acting roles.

MESS’s new photography division has been recognized as an industry leader in new talent portfolio production and promotional photography for models, actors and performers. The Studios’ team of photographers, makeup artists and stylists has collectively worked with over 50 international agencies, modeling conventions, casting agents and talent scouts. A complete creative team – makeup artist, wardrobe stylist, and hair stylist – is available to consult with customers. Headshots, fashion and beauty images are constructed with stringent attention to detail, unfalteringly mindful of what agents and casting directors are really looking for.

“We’re thrilled that Brad has signed on as creative director,” adds George Passariello, MESS’s chief information officer. “With his vast experience in the modeling and fashion world, his relationships and contacts with top agents, advertising companies, and other industry insiders, we’re in a fantastic position to launch a lot of careers and help a lot of talented people realize their dreams.”
